The 2017 Hendrik van der Bijl Memorial Lecture was presented in the Senate Hall of the University of Pretoria on 27 September 2017 by Mr Peter Staude, the Chief Executive Officer of Tongaat Hulett Limited. The topic of his presentation was “How do you stop being often an ad-hoc, poorly informed spectator in areas that are full of opportunity and/or risk for you in today’s fast-changing, interconnected world?”
